There are 75 Coins of Ancestry that can be collected during the Lunar Festival each year. Each elder rewards one coin to the player when spoken to, and the elders are spread out around all of Azeroth, some located in Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms and Northrend; no elders are located in Outland. Elders can also be located in various dungeons around Azeroth, and even in some faction capital cities. When a player speaks to an elder to receive a coin, he can ask for the locations of other nearby elders.

Currency

Coins of Ancestry are used as currency during the Lunar Festival. Players who collect enough coins can purchase festival clothing, such as dresses or suits, of various colors, and holiday specific crafting recipes. Engineers can purchase schematics that teach them how to build rocket launchers and fireworks. Vendors for Lunar Festival items are found in Moonglade, and all items are bind on pickup, meaning you cannot sell or give them to other players.
