Blizzard has announced that it will take world of warcraft to e-sporting in PVE. 32 teams all around the world will compete for a share of $100k award in the upcoming tournament for mythic Dungeons. The event will begin with the Proving Grounds on July 25. Proving Grounds will run from July 25 to August 8.Players will need to run a string of Mythic Keystone dungeons, increasing their Keystones Levels as high as they can.The performance of each team will be evaluated across the five dungeons that the team achieves the highest Keystone Level in during those two weeks.

This stage is open to all players across all realms during the period. At the end of the two-week period, teams will submit their highest score. Based on the scores, 32 teams will be invited to the playoffs, and eight from each region.

These runs will be streamed live on the WoW Twitch channel from September 16-24th. Teams will then speedrun dungeons, with the faster team winning the match. All Keystones and affixes for the run will be determined by Blizzard at the beginning of each match. The playoffs will use a single elimination bracket, with the top two from each region advancing to the Global Finals, from September 30th through October 1st.

The top five-man group in the world will earn $50,000 for their efforts, with 2nd through 8th splitting the remaining $50,000.

Please keep in mind that this is open to all the 5-man groups, but some elite raiders have an edge in this event.

After all, as this is open to any five-man group, raiders from around the world will put their hearts on the line - not just the high end raiding guilds.
