We have published guides to leveling Blood Elves and Draenei in Burning Crusade Classic from level 1 to level 60, including how to handle the starting zones and recommending zones and dungeons for all leveling ranges.
While players can purchase the Dark Portal Pass starting in the Burning Crusade pre-patch to boost a character to level 58, this excludes Blood Elf and Draenei characters. You must level Blood Elf and Draenei characters from 1-60 instead. If you're interested in playing an Alliance Shaman or Blood Elf Paladin, you will be leveling them from scratch!
In our speed leveling guides, we recap the basics of each race, tips to complete their respective starting zones quickly, and cover various methods to earn experience and reach level 60 quickly. We also highlight some of the top things to do once you reach 60, so your character can be ready for Burning Crusade launch.
Introduction to Blood Elves
Blood Elves are a new playable race added to the Horde faction in World of Warcraft Burning Crusade. They will be accessible in The Burning Crusade Classic starting on May 18th when the Pre-Patch goes live. Blood Elves can be a few different classes, but most notably they can be  Paladins - the only Horde race able to be a  Paladin.
You will be able to find class trainers at the main building in the east of Sunstrider Isle, at Falconwing Square, and in the capitol city, Silvermoon City. For more information about class trainers, check out our guides:Eversong Woods Class Trainers Silvermoon City Class Trainers
Blood Elf players can buy Hawkstrider mounts like  Swift Green Hawkstrider and  Black Hawkstrider from Winaestra in Eversong Woods - just east of the entrance to Silvermoon City. Riding Skill can be trained from Perascamin, in the building right next to Winaestra.
Class Choices for Blood Elves
Paladin,  Warlock,  Hunter,  Rogue,  Priest,  Mage
Blood Elves can select quite a few classes, but they cannot be  Warrior,  Shaman, or  Druid.
Racial Abilities for Blood Elves

Blood Elves are desirable because they are the only Horde race capable of being a  Paladin.  Paladins provide great utility to groups by providing them with powerful Blessing buffs like  Greater Blessing of Might or  Greater Blessing of Salvation. The  Arcane Torrent ability is situationally useful to silence enemies in PvE, and very often useful in PvP situations to stop important spells from being cast.
Introduction to Draenei
Draenei are a new playable race added to the Alliance faction in World of Warcraft Burning Crusade. They will be accessible in The Burning Crusade Classic starting on May 18th when the Pre-Patch goes live. Draenei can be a few different classes, but most notably they can be  Shamans - the only Alliance race able to be a  Shaman.
You will be able to find class trainers at the Crash Site in Ammen Vale, at Azure Watch in the Azuremyst Isle, and in the capitol city, The Exodar. For more information about class trainers, check out our guides:Azuremyst Isle Class Trainers Exodar Class Trainers
Draenei players can buy Elekk mounts like  Purple Elekk and  Great Green Elekk from Torallius the Pack Handler in The Exodar. Riding Skill can be trained from Aalun, right next to Torallius the Pack Handler.
Class Choices for Draenei
Shaman,  Warrior,  Paladin,  Hunter,  Priest,  Mage
Draenei can select quite a few classes, but they cannot be  Rogue,  Warlock, or  Druid.
Racial Abilities for Draenei

Draenei are particularly desirable in groups for their  Heroic Presence or  Inspiring Presence abilities. Depending on the class of Draenei you will provide a different aura to your party members. It is very good to have a Draenei  Warrior,  Paladin, or  Hunter in a physical damage dealer group in a raid. Similarly, it is very good to have a Draenei  Priest,  Shaman, or  Mage in a caster damage dealer group in a raid.
The healing ability  Gift of the Naaru is very nice when soloing and the amount healed increases as you level up.
The Early Levels 1-10
Avoid Competition
First and foremost, you will want to avoid competition. If you have to fight other players for tags on enemies or spam click a lootable quest object as soon as it respawns - you will be wasting a lot of time. It is likely the Draenei starting zones will be quite crowded. If you find yourself struggling to tag mobs before other players, waiting for respawns, or competing over lootable quest objects that is not good. It would be advisable to find a friendly  Mage to teleport you to a different area so you can progress unhindered, or even a  Warlock to summon you directly to a different starting zone. If you cannot access any magical teleportation from other classes, you can check out our navigation guide which shows all the best ways to get around the major cities in The Burning Crusade: How to Get To and From The Exodar in WoW Burning Crusade Classic.
Quest Leveling 10-60
If you want to level by questing, we recommend the following zones for each level bracket.
Alliance Leveling Zones

Horde Leveling Zones

Dungeon Leveling 10-60
While leveling in Classic, often you'll find quests for dungeons appropriate for your level. Classic doesn't have quality of life improvements like Dungeon finder or Group Finder, so players must use default chat channels like General or LookingForGroup to find groups for dungeons. We have guides for all dungeons in Classic to help you in your journey.

Dungeon Boost Leveling 10-60
In WoW Classic, the fastest way to level up is getting boosted by a high level character, typically  Mage or  Paladin. Dungeon boosting is where a high level character clears out an entire dungeon while low level characters wait near the entrance and gain experience. The massive quantity of enemies dying grants experience to the low level characters in the group. Someone fully utilizing dungeon boosting can bring a character from level 1 to 60 is less than 48 hours of played time.
If you choose to use dungeon boosting, you will want to know which dungeons to do at your levels. Here is a table with level ranges for the best boosting dungeons for which level ranges. These are picked due to the type of enemies and layout of the dungeon which makes it easier for the booster to round up the enemies and kill them all quickly. In general, ideal experience gain occurs when your average group level is somewhere between 5 levels
below and 2 levels above the average enemy level in the dungeon.

The Stockade is a quick and easy to dungeon that nicely bridges the gap between The Deadmines and Scarlet Monastery. The problem with The Stockade is that there are not very many total enemies in the dungeon. It can be cleared out quickly and depending on how Blizzard chooses to implement instance lockout limits, you may find yourself needing to wait before you can resume boosting in dungeons. If you want to avoid that lockout limit, you can opt for Gnomeregan instead which typically is cleared specifically by  Paladins and not your usual boosting  Mage. Gnomeregan offers many more enemies and thus much more experience per instance compared to The Stockade.
If you wish, you can start Scarlet Monastery as early as level 20. The enemy levels won't be exactly ideal, but the far greater quantity of enemies per instance makes up for it.
For the final stretch from level 50 to level 60, both Zul'Gurub and Stratholme are fine choices. Stratholme has the added benefit of granting players reputation with the Argent Dawn faction. Achieving at least Honored reputation with Argent Dawn is necessary if you want to zone in to Naxxramas. Zul'Gurub will earn some reputation with Zandalar Tribe, which provides a few unique recipes like  Recipe: Living Action Potion and powerful potions like  Swiftness of Zanza that some players might want.
Efficient leveling up to level 10 and then dungeon boosting the rest of the way will get you to level 60 much faster than more traditional questing and grinding leveling strategies. Whether or not you think dungeon boosting is a good thing for the game, there is no doubt that it is absolutely the fastest way to level a character.
