Legion Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 1 - 800

jewelcraftingThis Jewelcrafting leveling guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level your Jewelcrafting skill up from 1 to 800.

Updated for Legion patch 7.0.3

Powerleveling your Jewelcrafting won't be cheap. Make sure you have enough gold, even if you have Mining. The best thing you can do is to try to sell the items you make, just put them on the Auction House. A lot of level 110 players are willing to buy low level items for their alt. But, if you can't sell something just try to disenchant it, and sell the shards/dust.

If you are low on gold, I recommend you to try this Gold Making Guide, it can help you to make loads of gold.

If you are still leveling your character or you just started a new alt, I recommend you to use a leveling guide. You can level your character to level 110 in 8 days with this guide.

Jewelcrafting is the best combined with Mining or the other option is Enchanting. Check out the Mining leveling guide or the Enchanting leveling guide if you want to level any of those professions. When you choose mining, you can save a lot of gold because you can gather the materials, but it will take a lot of time. With Enchanting, you can Disenchant the items you make.

1 - 700 with Draenor recipes

Because of how hard it is to get gems in Legion, it's insanely expensive to level using Legion materials. The best way to level to 700 is by using Draenor materials. Even using the guide intended for lower levels is better than using the legion recipes.

If your character is below level 90, visit my Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide for players below level 90. This guide is for level 90-110 players.

First, visit your Jewelcrafting trainer at Dalaran, or one of main cities of old Azeroth. Just walk up to a guard in a city, you can ask them where the Jewelcrafting trainer is located. You can also find trainers at Ashran if you ask the guards.

Get a inv_box_02[Jeweler's Kit] from the Jewelcrafting Supplies vendor near your trainer or General/Trade Goods vendors.

Now you have to get a [Draenor Jewelcrafting] scroll to upgrade your maximum Jewelcrafting skill to 700. This scroll will also teach you a few basic recipes which you will use to level Jewelcrafting.

There are three ways to obtain this scroll:

Leveling 1-650

There are 9 ring/neck recipes that you get from [Draenor Jewelcrafting]. It doesn't matter which one you choose, they all require 60 ore and give 10 skill points when you craft them.

Example recipe:

65 x inv_misc_ring_6_0_003[Shifting Blackrock Band] - 1950 inv_ore_blackrock_ore[Blackrock Ore], 1950 inv_ore_trueironore[True Iron Ore]

Leveling 650-700

The fastest way to reach 700 is to make gems. You can choose from 5 different gems, the only difference between them is that they require different herbs. Create [Secrets of Draenor Jewelcrafting] and use it to buy recipes at the Gem Boutique or you can find NPCs that sell the same recipes near the Jewelcrafting traners at Ashran, just ask a guard at Ashran about the trainers and you will easily find them.

Choose only one:

50 x [Critical Strike Taladite] - 500 x Blackrock Iron Ore, 100 x Fireweed
50 x [Haste Taladite] - 500 x Blackrock Ore, 100 x Frostweed
50 x [Mastery Taladite] - 500 x True Iron Ore, 100 x Starflower
50 x [Stamina Taladite] - 500 x True Iron Ore, 100 x Talador Orchid
50 x [Versatility Taladite] - 500 x Blackrock Ore, 100 x Gorgrond Flytrap

You can make different type of gems, but then you have to wait a day until you can buy another recipe because [Secrets of Draenor Jewelcrafting] has 1 day cooldown.

Leveling 700-800 with Legion recipes

This part requires level 100.

First, visit your Jewelcrafting trainer Timothy Jones at Dalaran. Just walk up to a guard in the city, you can ask them where the Jewelcrafting trainer is located.

After you learn Jewelcrafting, pick up the quest quest_startFacet-nating Friends from Tiffany Cartier.

The quest reward is inv_misc_gem_03[Legion Jewelcrafter].

Unlocking recipes

Most Jewelcrafting recipes are unlocked by doing quests. These quests are given by one of the NPCs around your trainer.

You should get to level 110 and finish every Jewelcrafting quest before you continue this guide.

There are 24 Jewelcrafting quest in total, they are pretty straight forward, so I will not write down the details of every quests. Some of the quests lead you to dungeons but you can finish every quest easily in a few hours if you start them at 110, otherwise you will have to wait because later quests have level requirement.

The last quest is quest_startA Personal Touch, this will teach you how to make a necklace specific to your class. This is the only recipe that you can use to level between 780-800.

Recipe ranks

Most Legion recipes now have 3 ranks. Higher rank recipes allow you to craft an item for fewer materials. Therefore, you should only use rank 3 recipes when you can.

Rank 3 recipes comes from different sources like Vendors, World Quests, Reputation, dungeon drops, and even rated battleground wins.

If you hover over the little stars in your spellbook, you can see the source of the next rank for the selected recipe.

Unlocking World Quests

Most of the of the rank 3 leveling recipes comes from World Quests. To get these quests, you must first complete quest_startUniting the Isles by reaching friendly reputation with every Legion faction. You can get this quest from Archmage Khadgar (requires level 110).

After you unlocked the quests, you have to level your Jewelcrafting to at least 100 to unlock the profession World quests.

700 - 715

Make around 20-23 from any of the recipes below. These will be yellow so you won't gain skill points for every craft. You don't have to craft all 20 from one recipe, you can craft different kinds, it depends on which gems are cheaper, or which ones you got from inv_misc_gem_bloodgem_01[Prospecting].

inv_jewelcrafting_70_cutgem02_orange[Deadly Deep Amber] - 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_orange[Deep Amber]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_cutgem02_purple[Masterful Queen's Opal] - 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_purple[Queen's Opal]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_cutgem02_yellow[Quick Azsunite] - 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_yellow[Azsunite]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_cutgem02_blue[Versatile Skystone] - 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_blue[Skystone]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_jeweledlockpick[Jeweled Lockpick] - 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_red[Sangrite]

715 - 740

Make 25 from any of these:

inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupring_yellow[Rank 3 - Azsunite Loop] - 2 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_yellow[Azsunite], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_green[Chaotic Spinel]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupring_orange[Rank 3 - Deep Amber Loop] - 2 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_orange[Deep Amber], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_green[Chaotic Spinel]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupring_purple[Rank 3 - Queen's Opal Loop] - 2 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_purple[Queen's Opal], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_green[Chaotic Spinel]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupring_blue[Rank 3 - Skystone Loop] - 2 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_blue[Skystone], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_green[Chaotic Spinel]

Jabrul should be at near your trainer in Dalaran if you finished every Jewelcrafting quest. He sells you the designs for these rings, but you should already have one from questing.

You can buy the rank 2 designs from Tiffany Cartier. She is in the same room as the trainer.

Rank 3 recipe locations:

inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupring_yellow[Azsunite Loop] - World Quest
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupring_orange[Deep Amber Loop] - World Quest - Azsuna
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupring_purple[Queen's Opal Loop] - World Quest - Stormheim
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupring_blue[Skystone Loop] - Highmountain Tribe - Honored - Sold by Ransa Greyfeather at Thunder Totem in Highmountain.

The world quests you get are randomly generated, so you might not get one right away and have to wait even a few days until one pops up.

740 - 764

It's really important that you reach 764, and stop there! You won't get multiple skill point for crafting yellow recipes, and the neck turns yellow at 780. This way when you craft your last neck recipe in the next step, it will still be orange and you will jump from 779 to 784. Otherwise you would have to make 4 more necklaces just to get from 780 to 784.

Make around 26 from any of these:

inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupneck_blue[Rank 3 - Skystone Pendant] - 5 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_blue[Skystone], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_red[Sangrite]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupneck_purple[Rank 3 - Queen's Opal Pendant] - 5 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_purple[Queen's Opal], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_red[Sangrite]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupneck_orange[Rank 3 - Deep Amber Pendant] - 5 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_orange[Deep Amber], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_red[Sangrite]
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupneck_yellow[Rank 3 - Azsunite Pendant] - 5 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_yellow[Azsunite], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem02_red[Sangrite]

Jabrul should be at near your trainer in Dalaran if you finished every Jewelcrafting quest. He sells you the designs for these necks, but you should already have one from questing.

You can buy the rank 2 designs from Tiffany Cartier. She is in the same room as the trainer.

Rank 3 recipe locations:

inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupneck_blue[Skystone Pendant] - World Quest - Highmountain
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupneck_purple[Queen's Opal Pendant] - World Quest - Suramar
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupneck_orange[Deep Amber Pendant] - Drops from any creature in the Broken Isles.
inv_jewelcrafting_70_lvlupneck_yellow[Azsunite Pendant] - World Quest - Azsuna

The world quests you get are randomly generated, so you might not get one right away and have to wait even a few days until one pops up.

764 - 784

There are 12 class specific necks that you can craft.

4 x [Any Rank 3 Neck recipe you choose] - 8-16 x Extra Gem, 20 x inv_blood-of-sargeras[Blood of Sargeras], 8 x inv_infernalbrimstone[Infernal Brimstone], 4 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem03_green[Pandemonite], 4 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem03_red[Furystone]

4 of the materials are the same for every neck recipe, the only difference is the extra gem. There is a list of rank 3 recipes below where you can see the color of the gem needed for the necks, so you can decide which one you should aim for.

You already learned one for your class when you finished your last Jewelcrafting quest. The rest of them are sold by Jabrul.

Rank 2 recipes

Most of them are sold by Tiffany Cartier.

The rest of them can be bought from vendors at the Dalaran Sewers. You will need to farm achievement_reputation_kirintor_offensiveSightless Eye to buy these recipes. Here is a detailed guide on how to get Sightless Eye. Each of them cost 250 achievement_reputation_kirintor_offensiveSightless Eye, you can get that in about 15 minutes.

inv_jewelcrafting_70_maxlvlneck_green[Vindictive Pandemonite Choker] - sold by Oxana Demonslay.
inv_jewelcrafting_70_maxlvlneck_green[Twisted Pandemonite Choker] - sold by Matthew Rabis.
inv_jewelcrafting_70_maxlvlneck_purple[Subtle Shadowruby Pendant] - sold by The Widow.
inv_jewelcrafting_70_maxlvlneck_purple[Sorcerous Shadowruby Pendant] - sold by Dazzik "Proudmoore".

Rank 3 recipes

All of these require at least these: 5 x inv_blood-of-sargeras[Blood of Sargeras], 2 x inv_infernalbrimstone[Infernal Brimstone], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem03_green[Pandemonite], 1 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem03_red[Furystone] and the listed extra gems.

784 - 800

You will make the previous recipes, but all of them will be yellow between 780-790, and green between 790-800. This means you won't get skill points for every craft, so the number of recipes you need to craft will be different for everyone. You will probably have to craft between 25-45. (if you are lucky)

My recommendation would be to level to 795 and just wait until the Darkmon Faire starts. The last few points can be extremely expensive if you are unlucky. You might have to make 30 necks to go from 799 to 800.

25 x [Neck recipe you choose] - 50-100 x Extra Gem, 125 x inv_blood-of-sargeras[Blood of Sargeras], 50 x inv_infernalbrimstone[Infernal Brimstone], 25 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem03_green[Pandemonite], 25 x inv_jewelcrafting_70_gem03_red[Furystone]

Darkmoon Faire

You should check your Calendar in-game to see if the Darkmoon Faire is open, the event starts at 00:01 on the Sunday before the 1st Monday of each month.

You can gain +5 skill points by completing a single quest (use it at 795). Click here to read more about the quests.

I hope you liked this Jewelcrafting leveling guide, congratulations on reaching 800!
