  • Valor Points

Valor Point Acquisition:This PTR Build also added  Valor acquisition details. As we reported earlier, the weekly cap for  Valor is 750, and the total cap is 1,500.
This means that for the priciest items (which likely correspond to 2 handed weapons), you would only be able to upgrade it every 2 out of 3 weeks. Remember that the datamining suggests that one rank is only 3 or 4 item levels, so this could take a while for some of the priciest items!

Datamined Valor Point Details
More details about the Valor Points system in Patch 9.0.5 have been added to the data and we've datamined the following information.
There are 14 ranks in the data which scale from 184 to 226. Each rank seems to cost a certain amount of  Valor in order to upgrade it,
and will upgrade your item by 3 or 4 item levels. Rank 13 and 14 correspond to Item Level 223 and 226 and interestingly do actually have rows in the data, but there appears to a flag that will prevent them from being used (but it should be possible for them to do it in the future!). As such,
right now players will have 12 ranks in Patch 9.0.5 with Rank 12 being Item Level 220.
You can now add a bonus ID to items on the PTR to make it show a X/12 flag supporting the idea that there are currently only 12 ranks.

As mentioned in the announcement of Valor Points:
Upgrading past Item Level 200 requires  Shadowlands Keystone Explorer: Season One.
Upgrading past Item Level 207 requires  Shadowlands Keystone Conqueror: Season One.
Upgrading past Item Level 213 requires  Shadowlands Keystone Master: Season One.
