Players may be opted into the stress test even if they’re not officially part of the beta, as the developer is looking to really push some load into the servers. The community manager then went on to clear some specifics with regards to how they choose people for the beta and stress test.

“Related to this, we’ve seen a lot of questions about the general invite process and want to clarify a few things,” Bornakk added. “The method in which people are invited from the opt-in pool is not on a first-come-first-served basis, but instead we look at a variety of factors such as the age of the account.”

Bornakk also mentioned that the invites for the closed beta are declining in number as they are reaching the optimal numbers that Blizzard needs. Have you signed up it?
